Project Overview
Large areas of the reed bed had begun drying out as water escaped from the site. The objective was to restore water levels by constructing a bund around the affected area and improving water management throughout the reserve.

Site Preparation
Initial works involved selective reed cutting together with extensive tree clearance to create access for the Truxor and establish the route for the new bund. Using the Truxor digging arm, several hundred metres of bund were constructed through dense vegetation while new channels were formed to direct water back into the reed bed.
Project Outcome
Water was successfully retained within the habitat, restoring wetland conditions and creating a healthier environment for birds, amphibians and aquatic wildlife.
